Vlogs about Sustainable Living
Together with Hilde de Leeuw I started making vlogs to film places where people try to live in more conscious ways. Our most watched vlog to date is about Marjolein Jonker, who lives in a Tiny House in Alkmaar.

A Second Life
I follow Bathma, who is bound to her wheelchair, yet managed to become senator in the Malaysian government. An inspiring story about overcoming hurdles.

Or if you are in a hurry, here’s the short version (but I recommended the extended version, above! 😉 )
A short movie about how manipulating your own body language can affect your feelings and behaviour. Made for the blog of an Executive Search Company, Positive Links.
Juice Carton Wallet
I made a video for a Tetrapak competition, the assignment was to make something out of a tetrapak carton and publish a step by step video on how to make the object.
So here’s my entry!
Music video fun
Sometimes it’s good to make something silly, just for laughs. A morning in the park in Kuala Lumpur resulted in this short music video of Inona Pop’s ‘I Love It’.
Pennine Camphill Community
Another film I made for my internship with ThinkYoung explores the lives of people in Pennine Camphill Community. There volunteers and workers live together with adolescents with a learning disability. This film explores the motives of some of the volunteers and workers to live in this way.
A Muddy Christmas
Recently I completed an internship with ThinkYoung Labs, for who I made some short films about people who live in intentional communities. One of the films, A Muddy Christmas, got screened at the Open City Docs festival in London.
Short documentary about Runnymede, an ecovillage in a squatted piece of forest near London. The ecovillage was started in the spring and now the residents are getting ready for winter. Conditions are not optimal, but some pioneers stay for Christmas!

This is the documentary I made for my MA in Visual Anthropology
We all recognize the longing for happiness. The Surinamese Germain chases this elusive ideal in Amsterdam, and meets many obstacles on the way. While his life is filled with activities, they don’t seem to bring about the desired result. In an open and honest manner Germain reflects on his hardships and allows the viewer to enter his world for half an hour.

A short video experiment I made when I wanted to shave my beard.
Faith Healing & Spirit Possession
I made this documentary during the summer of 2010 as part of my capstone experience for my Bachelor of Arts. It explores the world of faith healing and spirit possession in South-India.

According to the Dutch
This is the first documentary I ever made, together with two friends of mine. The film is about a development aid project for which we volunteered in Tanzania. We tell a personal story about our experience with development aid in Tanzania, questioning the conduct of the development aid workers, including ourselves.
A film by Sabine van Ditzhuijzen, Oscar van Keulen, Anne Kroon
